Western Tiger Salamander For Sale

Sale Price:£75.00 Original Price:£95.00
Sold Out

Western Tiger salamanders (Ambystoma Marvortium) are one of the largest terrestrial salamanders! Reaching an impressive 10 inches.

  • Currently for sale in our Moss End reptile shop

  • Photos taken January 2024

  • Sex: Unsexed

  • This animal is suitable for: anyone after an unusual and low maintenance pet as an awesome display piece!

They range from southern Texas all the way up to British Columbia… they prefer to be kept cold and no more than 18 degrees.

They are a mole species of salamander meaning they like to burrow down in the substrate, we recommend at least 6 inches of substrate.

They can be kept by them selves or as pairs/large groups, singularly we would recommend a 60x45x45 or in pairs/groups a minimum would be a 90x45x45.

They will eat anything from crickets to worms to locust.

They do not require any additional UVB so regular feeding of calcium with d3 is needed.

Unfortunately due to the nature of amphibians these can’t be handled and are purely a display species.
