“Stevie” Asian Water Monitor Lizard For Sale
Asian water monitors are the second largest monitor species! Therefore they require a very specified environment.
Stevie is an amazingly trained monitor, has been handled in our handling sessions and is harnessed-trained.

Age: Sub-adult
Sex: Poss Female
Size: Fully grown, Stevie will be 4-6ft in length, and weigh 19.5kg.
Lifespan: these monitors can live up to 25 years in captivity!
Suitability: Keepers with experience with large monitors.
Vivarium
Asian Water monitors need a large pool/pond, roughly twice as wide as they are long and three times as long, as they are long.
They will then also need a vivarium around this pool, around 8ft x 6ft x 4ft with overhead cluster heat to reach their desired temperature (45-50 degrees Celsius).
Handling
Stevie is a foodie and will require further training, so experienced keepers are a must. Monitors have very sharp claws, and with their added weight, there is a high risk of scratching.
Stevie loves being handled as long as they have free-reign, as Stevie loves to climb up high. Stevie does wear a harness here with us.
