Sand boas are an awesome smaller snake species which burrow into loose substrates to make tunnel networks!

  • Suitable for: anyone after a unique smaller snake species and has the patience to work with a picky eater.

  • Captive bred? yes, CB24

  • Handling: happy to be handled

  • Maximum adult size: 2ft

  • Housing and habitat: as adult an 2ft enclosure with thermostatically controlled over head heating and plenty of substrate to dig in. Dry arid environment.

Due to their burrowing tendencies we recommend overhead heating over heat mats, however both can be effective when used correctly to achieve basking temperatures around 30-32*C.
