Average Adult Size: 7 to 11 inches
Average Lifespan: Up to 75 years
Suitability: Beginners
During the warmer months of the year, Adult Hermanns Tortoises can be housed outdoors in predator-proof and escape-proof pens with a secure shelter/house for them to hide and sleep in.
During the winter months, we recommend that they are safely hibernated using the fridge method. Alternatively they can be brought in to 4×2ft (minimum) indoor housing with overhead heating and T5 UV lighting.
The correct supplement schedule is essential. Complete indoor setups available!
