Frilled lizards are famous for their prehistoric-looking frills that flare out when threatened. They are omnivorous, eating a range of insects and vegetation.

• Handling: These lizards require quite a bit of work but once they trust you and have settled, they are good pets to handle.

• Maximum adult size: Around 2.5ft from head to tail.

• Housing and habitat: As semi-arboreal lizards they require an enclosure suitable for these needs. For an adult female we recommend a 4ft x 4ft x 2ft (LxWxH) vivarium with thermostatically controlled overhead heating, with a hot spot of 42-45*C, and UVB lighting.
