Age: CB Baby/ Juvenile
Sex: Female
Locale: Ambilobe
Handling: Chameleons will choose to walk out on to your hand if they want to be handled!
Suitability: Well-researched Beginner
Enclosure recommendations
We recommend that Panther Chameleons are housed in mesh enclosures for optimal airflow, with thermostatically controlled overhead heating and UV lighting.
As they are a very fast-growing species, babies should be housed in their adult-sized enclosure straight away.
Climbing branches, vines and plants should be provided as they are strictly arboreal (tree-dwelling) along with regular misting of the enclosure to maintain their higher humidity requirements. A digital thermo-hygrometer should be in place to measure temperature and humidity accurately.
Female Panther Chameleons will lay eggs throughout their life once they are mature without the presence of a male. New owners should be prepared to provide suitable egg-laying boxes within the enclosure to prevent reproductive complications.
Correct vitamin supplementation is imperative.
Full setup kits available, please contact us for more information.
