Morph: Albino Anaconda het Axanthic
Adult size range: 24” - 36” (females larger than males)

Suitability: Well-researched Beginner
Western Hognose snakes are mildly rear-fanged venomous as a hunting adaptation. If a person is bitten, this can act similarly to a bee sting, with some people being more prone to a reaction (swelling and itching) than others. That being said, this species do not tend to bite unless provoked and feeling threatened, and are more likely to give a warning heat butt.

Adults require 2-3ft long enclosures (depending on the individual’s size)
Babies should be housed in smaller enclosures such as a hatchling snake kit until this is outgrown
Guarded overhead heating or a heat mat connected to a thermostat
Digital thermometer or heat gun
2.5 - 7% T5 UV lighting is highly recommended
Multiple hides and a substrate that allows for burrowing
Complete enclosure kits available!
