Amazon Tree Boas make wonderful display snakes when housed in live-planted bioactive enclosures!

- Average Lifespan: Up to 20 years 
- Handling: Defensive, best kept as a display species 
- Suitability: Experienced, confident keepers are preferred 
- Natural Habitat: Rainforests of South America 
Enclosure recommendations
Amazon Tree Boas are highly arboreal, and therefore require a large arboreal enclosure with thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating.
UV lighting is beneficial. Temperatures should be measured with digital thermometers or a heat gun for accuracy.
There should be plenty of climbing opportunities and perches available in the form of branches, cork flats and rounds, vines and fake/live plants.
They have high humidity requirements which should be strictly maintained. This species look great in bioactive, live-planted habitats!
