Natural Habitat: Humid rainforests of the Amazon Basin
Adults should be housed in a well-sealed vivarium measuring a minimum of 4×2ft.
Thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating should be provided 24/7 as this species does not tolerate significant temperature drops at night. A digital thermo-hygrometer should be used to measure temperature and humidity accurately.
They appreciate plenty of clutter in the form of plants, hides and low branches within the enclosure, and a soil/coconut husk substrate that will help to maintain the constantly high humidity requirements of this species.
