Mossy Geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua), also known as Chahoua Geckos, are a bigger alternative to the commonly kept Crested Gecko, originating from the same part of the world and with similar care requirements!

They are known for their amazing mossy appearance which aids their fantastic camouflage ability!

  • Imperfect - slight tail kink

  • Diet: Crested Gecko Diet and insects

  • Handling: Friendly once used to their new owner

  • Suitability: Beginner

Kit requirements

  • Glass terrarium 45×45×60cm (minimum adult enclosure size)

  • Thermostatically controlled heat mat on the side of the glass, or thermostatically controlled overhead heating

  • Digital thermometer and hygrometer

  • 2.5-7% T5 UV lighting highly recommended

  • These geckos do very well in live-planted bioactive enclosures

  • Lots of climbing enrichment (branches, cork tubes/ flats, vines etc)

  • Correct supplement schedule and diet

  • Full enclosure kits available
