The minimum size enclosure for a single or pair of American Green Tree Frogs is a 30x30x45cm glass terrarium, although they will also do well in a larger 45x45x60cm enclosure.
They require a thermostatically controlled heat mat attached to an outside wall of the enclosure, or thermostatically controlled overhead heating. UV lighting is beneficial. Temperatures should be measured with a digital thermometer or heat gun for accuracy.
American Green Tree Frogs are an active tree-dwelling species, so they should be provided with ample climbing branches to allow them to reach the height that they love to sit at. They do well in live-planted bioactive setups.
