Enclosure recommendations

Leopard Tortoises are an African Species that do not hibernate, meaning they require indoor housing under heat and UV lighting all year round. The correct calcium and vitamin supplement schedule is essential.

Adults require an enclosure or heated outdoor shed that is at least 8×4ft. Babies can be housed in 4×2ft enclosures until outgrown.

This species require UV lighting and thermostatically controlled overhead heating. They may require additional heating at night as they do not appreciate large temperature drops. A digital thermo-hygrometer should be used to accurately measure temperature and humidity.
