Suitability: Adept keepers with experience
Natural habitat: Humid forests of Madagascar
Mantella frogs are only poisonous when consuming their wild diet.
In captivity they are safe to keep, although we avoid touching them unless essential for the frog’s well-being, as their skin is very absorbent and sensitive. Best kept as a display species.
