Variated Kingsnakes (Lampropeltis mexicana thayer)  are a genetic mystery every time and with a similar appearance to a Milk snake, these guys are really quite spectacular!

When breeding these snakes you have a mystery box of variations that can be produced, no matter what phase the parents may be!

Suitability: Some experience is preferred due to their temperature sensitivity

Lifespan: 15-20 years

Enclosure recommendations

Variated Kingsnakes prefer cooler temperatures compared to many other Kingsnake species (23-30c), and also appreciate a controlled night time temperature drop.

Temperatures should not go over 31c for prolonged periods. Humidity requirements are 40-50%.

The minimum size enclosure for this species is 3ft in length (although we recommend 4ft), with thermostatically controlled and guarded heating.

Temperature and humidity should be measured with a digital thermo-hygrometer.
